Susan Garth
Hello all, my name is Susan Garth, a devoted wife to Caleb Garth and mother to Christy, Mary, Jim, Alfred, Letty and Ben. I live with my husband and youngest few in Middlemarch, a really a lovely place to raise a family. My children and I often spend time outside reading under the great apple-tree in the orchard. In fact, one novel I had read many times and cherished was Ivanhoe, which I passed onto Jim who loved it just the same. I had been a schoolteacher in my younger years, therefore I had trained my children to value books and education just as much as I do. They are smart children, I believe I have the best in all of Middlemarch.
