Sir James Chettam, it is almost as if you read my mind! How similar our thoughts on Mrs. Dalloway are. She is very interesting to me, yet I feel as though I do not know very much about her so far apart from physical characteristics, her feelings of her age and her thoughts on her past. I would sure love to learn more about her as she is a little mysterious to me. I would like to know why the way she is the way she is. You know, it is said often that a person is shaped by their past. I would have to say that I believe Mrs. Dalloway is a person shaped by her past. Maybe looking into her past could answer some of the questions you have about her? Like what is the good of feeling like an eighteen year old girl as a fifty year old woman, although I don’t believe you very much need to research that question to find an answer. I could answer that for you, Sir James. People like to stay young, and although their bodies may age, well their spirits may not always.
