My sister, Dorothea, is very well known for her accounts on wanting to run things that she just should not. It is true that this Mina Loy wants women to have “self respect” but it is possible to do so without getting in the way the man’s job and responsibilities. I do not involve myself in my husband’s work duties. It is not my place to do so. My sister is the one who likes to make plans for cottages and then sees herself fit to run the plans. Perhaps if she only contributed a small portion of her intelligence to such plans it would get her farther in life. I enjoy parties and tending to my baby and husband. It is a wife’s duty to make sure her husband is happy. Though I think this of my own dear sister, it is her right to do what she pleases. She doesn’t listen to anyone else anyway…well besides Casaubon.
