I was taken aback by Septimus’ decision to end his life.  That poor soul.  It seems as though no-one understood his dire situation.  I only wonder if his death could have been prevented if he had an invaluable doctor like our dear Mr. Lydgate to care for him.  Someone who would try to cure his disease rather than prescribe rest for him.  I cannot imagine what poor Rezia is going through.  I am not used to reading about such horrid calamities.  I am wrought with despair.  I feel as though I need to walk through the garden to clear my head.
