Inside Her Head
·
If I say so myself, I find that reading Mrs. Dalloway is quite a journey. There is always something surprising or interesting in every turn the book makes. I find that I am sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for what will happen next. I do have to admit I sometimes find it hard to keep up with everything that is happening, especially when it comes to jumping around in everyone’s thoughts. At first I did not realize we were moving to different characters, but when I got into the rhythm of things a sort of clarity started to open up. Just from reading the beginning, I have a feeling that Mrs. Dalloway has had an interesting past. I feel that I am getting a mysterious vibe coming from Peter. It just seems that they have such an interesting relationship between Peter and Mrs. Dalloway, that I am finding it difficult to understand why she picked a different man to marry. This story is not unraveling fast enough for me. One part of the story I enjoy would be switching back from past and present. This book is so wonderfully written that it just amazes me how smooth the transition is between the past and present. I almost find it hard to keep up with her at some points. Her mind is like a puzzle and I keep wanting to solve it.
