I am always a fan of blood and death but I have to say that Septimus death was an unfortunate turn of events. While I like the fact his own madness drove him over the edge it is also quite sad considering how he was a suffering warrior. Warriors have a special place in my…heart. They do not deserve slow deaths and deep decent into unearthly madness. I normally would consider suicide a cowards way out but in Septimus mind there was nothing else he could do he was not a coward but living a half life where he could not really be present to those around him. Hopefully, and I am surprised at myself for these feelings, he will find peace in the afterlife and a quite mind he did not deserve a horrible death.
