Septimus and I had a lot in common, while I was not in the war, we both were in poor marriages. I cared deeply for my dear Dorothea but she was not content being a gentlewoman, she cared too much for my silly nephew (…or cousin… or what ever I called him) and she cared entirely too much for those silly cottages!!! Septimus’ wife was always trying to be pushy with him too, I must say I do understand you Septimus.
