I must say, dear Fred, that hearing your thoughts on this matter does my heart good, and makes me glad to have you as my son-in-law. It is true that love is certainly the most important thing in the world, and people should certainly show it, whether it be to people or their work. Although I must say, it is quite a conundrum should Mrs. Dalloway wish to show her feelings toward Sally, as it is quite possible for her to be alienated for her, shall we say, unconventional taste in love. The only thing I could think of is to try to minimize alienation by keeping it between those she trusts. Although, we do still have some of the novel still to go, we may get a present-day interaction between the two, should Sally show up at the party.
