My dear, how similar our opinions are!

How have we never met in our small Middlemarch town my dear!? I feel like we would be very good company towards each other! We must have tea one evening very soon! I do say I found this reading of The Fox to be intriguing as well. Compared to the others we have read, I followed and understand this one quite well! Though Susan, I don’t know if letting Letty read this along with you is a… wise decision. There was some odd, sexual tones in this reading that were pretty blunt at times for a young lady. Anyways, I don’t understand this pull and fascination with Henry. He just seemed like, I know this sounds obvious, but a fox. Just a sneaky, luring predator, not an attractive, compelling man. Like you said Susan, March was externally strong, but not internally by any means. She couldn’t resist her possession by Henry and that led to her dreadful, unhappiness in the end. Which, you can’t help but feel sorry for her. Us women see this unhappiness happen in many marriages, but I’m thankfully not one of those poor ladies! Oh, and poor Banford in this novel too! If only March listened to Banford’s feminine, and motherly instincts! Her life could of been so much more merrier. Banford had that strong, feminine willpower that I definitely possess, so I really related to her and adored her. God rest her caring soul! Foolish of me to say that to a fictional character, but she did receive my respect!
