Mrs. Dalloway, Part II
·
Thus far into this novel I’ve read lately, I can honestly say I’m surprised at how much I dislike these people of Holmes and Bradshaw, though I mean no ill will towards you Detective Holmes. While I can understand Bradshaw and his passion, I cannot condone the way his mind shows how he sees people, he seems less of a doctor and more of a tyrant! As for Holmes, even though I am no doctor as that is more of Mr. Lydgate’s territory from what I’ve heard, even I could see that poor Septimus needed better treatment than a recommendation of rest. Then Septimus fell to his unfortunate death, and Holmes dared to call him a coward! I do not get angry very easily, but that callous remark most certainly put Holmes out of any chances to be in my good books, especially since he said it in front of Septimus’ just-then-widow!
