Oh how they suffer these broken soldiers. If only Septimus could have received some help for his bouts of mania. As both a physician interested in easing the suffering of the sick, as well as a soldier, who seeks to protect his hearth and home it breaks my heart to see him die. This so called “Dr. Holmes” should be stricken from ever practicing medicine again. To not see that his patient was suffering until only the end is such an irredeemable in a physician. Why it would not surprise me to find such a history of poorly conceived diagnosis and treatment option from this so called man of medicine.

I apologize to those out there that become party to my words. It however offends me to my core that such a learned man did absolutely nothing. To have such gall to call oneself a doctor and not do everything in your power to help those who suffer is the work of charlatans and researchers.
