An Introduction

Hello, and of course I am present! You may call me Nature, if you so desire; many have found this to be a fitting title. I have seen everything of which you speak, I am in these locations, too; together at once, so to speak. The Congo is so very green, and damp. Is it not wondrous how England can be so green, so damp, and so very different from the African continent? Why does this frighten people so? These incredibly diverse locations with their mystery to the human mind, and yet the connection of it all; it is most beautiful. But how incredibly sad it makes me to think of the treatment of man to fellow man, and the willful shallowness of some.
This man Marlow, he hurts, deep in his soul. He has witnessed things many have not and remembers many years, for a human. I feel for him; he is one small being, and is not able to conquer the pain he has seen with hope. His mind is not a haven, he is not practiced at finding the, sometimes small, offerings of the force that is in all things. He pours out stories, but cannot turn inward in peace; he has allowed this man Kurtz to creep into his spirit. It is dangerous when a person is influenced by another man who has lost faith in himself and the light within the world. There is no place where the trees, rivers, and natural force behind all hate the creatures there. Sometimes the human condition is a difficult burden for a soul to bear, however, and the darkness of a person’s mind may blot out the light within and around. I assure you I test no one without a reason for doing so and a desire to see them come to a state of humble virtue.
