I feel as though we both side with Richard simply because we know a good thing when we have it. We have stable marriages and that has a lot to say about why we favor Richard. But the heart does want what it wants.. as with Dorthea and Lydgate and as with Peter and Clarissa. I suppose maybe we just don’t know the love they feel.
