Dr. Fielding's Course

Sir Doyle,
Once again I must express my thoughts. How glad am I to find someone who shares such views on the readings. I have to say friend, I found the story quite enchanting! However, I do agree the explicit sensuality was rather objectionable, you know.
I agree with you Sir that I shall not be sharing this reading with my dear Dorothea and Cecilia. I do not consider it a story for them, say. Although, I think there is something in the death of the little Banford. Something scary and real like, show the terrors of the nature and the consequence, you know when women get lost within those realms. By Jove! Indeed what terror. Truly reciprocates my fear for my frail daughters should they ever find themselves in such a situation… let them never, let them never!
There is something in what you say about this March mistress and in feeling slightly less of a man! I was not going to bring it up, say… but if you have spoken it it must be true! She seems a good woman but she does not belong in the man’s place. One must know their place, indeed, or end up like Banford.
