I will forever be in love with Ms. Virginia Woolf (please don’t tell my wife)! She writes with such elegance, how can you not fall in love? Though she is confusing at times, her writing is beautiful. Poor Peter, he is all caught up on the love that got away. I feel there is a very interesting past there, something I want to explore more. I don’t get the idea that Mrs. Dalloway nor Peter got the closure they needed from the relationship. We can tell Peter is still in love, but Mrs. Dalloway seems to veer off into thoughts of him as well. I feel like she is comfortable in her relationship with Richard, but may not be truly happy. I will have to explore this idea a little more as I dive further into the book. One thing Virginia always does that trips me up is switching between her characters. It seems like I may be able to relate to our good ole WWI veteran. Seeing men killed in battle is no easy task.
