Dr. Fielding's Course

Pardon Me

·

I apologize for the miscommunication, Mrs. Garth, but I believe if you read my original response once more, you will see I wrote that I think it is silly that a man should necessarily be the one to provide for one’s family, with the woman staying home to care for the home and children. What I meant to imply here is that, if the woman happens to be motivated to do the sort of work a man has traditionally done, and the man seems happy taking care of the home and children while she is away at work, then that sort of thing should be accepted and encouraged. I did not mean for anyone to think I was trying to excuse myself from providing for Mary. I love Mary more than anything, and I would do anything for her, and I am loving earning my keep, as long as it means I get to be loved by your wonderful daughter.
